  • Prince Albert Inn (3680 – 2nd Avenue West)

The government’s decision to privatize hospital laundry means that the community of Prince Albert will lose over 74 good paying jobs, which will have long term economic impacts in Prince Albert. That is the conclusion of a new report by University of Winnipeg economists Hugh Grant, Manish Pandey and James Townsend, “Short-Term Gain, Long-Term Pain: The Privatization of Hospital Laundry Services in Saskatchewan.”

The lead researcher on the paper, Dr. Hugh Grant, will be speaking at the event in Prince Albert. Simon Enoch, Director of the Saskatchewan Office of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, will be joining him.
