We remember Debbie Hubick. CUPE Saskatchewan President Kent Peterson issued the following statement paying tribute to the life and legacy of Debbie Hubick:

“I am saddened to learn of the passing of Debbie Hubick. Sister Hubick was a long-time CUPE activist, a powerful advocate for working people, and a friend to many of us. In addition to numerous roles at the local level and within her community, Sister Hubick served as CUPE Saskatchewan’s Recording Secretary from 2007 to 2015.

On behalf of myself, our provincial union, and our 31,000 members, I want to extend condolences to Sister Hubick’s family and friends, and thank them for sharing her wisdom and passion with us for so many years.”

Sister Hubick’s funeral will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 10:30AM at the All Saints Anglican Church in Weyburn (239 3rd Street NE, Weyburn).
